Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
Term 4 2025 highlights
KA Investigating Volume (Term 4 Week 8)
In KA we have been investigating volume. All our aliens are different shapes but have the same volume!
Year 6 Camp (Term 4 Week 7)
Students in Year 6 did not let the wet, cold and windy weather limit the amount of fun they had camping at Kiama and spending the day at Jamberoo Action Park last week. Luckily the tents were all in place before the rain started.
Students gathered for the traditional camp photos at the Blow Hole Lighthouse and under the famous Moreton Bay Fig tree in Kiama. The students would like to thank the staff for making camp such a memorable experience.
Year 2 Transition (Term 4 Week 7)
Students in Year 2 have been getting ready for Year 3 by visiting primary classrooms and talking about how exciting it will be next year. They had many questions for the Year 3 teachers and have had a chance to share what they are looking forward to the most.
Every student can’t wait to be in Year 3 in 2026.
Swim Safety Program (Term 4 Week 6)
Our Swim Safety Program was a huge success once again this year. Thanks to our trained instructor Mrs Hasselbach and her assistant Mrs Reid who provided the instruction and to the many helpers who made sure that things ran smoothly. The bus driver made sure everyone arrived in time for their lesson too. We are looking forward to running the program again next year to support our goal of doing everything we can to make all our students stay safe in the water.
Year 6 Fun Fair (Term 4 Week 5)
Yesterday the students in Year 6 did an amazing job of running the annual Year 6 Fun Fair and there was certainly lots of fun happening wherever you looked.
A special thankyou to everyone who worked hard to make the day such a success and to Judy who made sure there were plenty of slushies for all to enjoy.
As a special treat we also welcomed lots of grandparents to join in the fun to thank them for the special role they play in supporting their grandchildren in so many ways.
Madangs' Got Talent (Term 4 Week 4)
Miss Halliwell, Mr Roberts and Mr Jackson had the worst job ever trying to choose the winners because every single entry could have been the winning one.
Congratulations to you all!
Healthy Kids Program (Term 4 Week 2)
This week our Healthy Kids Program started for our students in Years 1 to 4 which goes for eight weeks. They enjoyed learning about how to stay healthy and then were practising some fitness activities.
